Why Do Jean Pockets Have Tiny Buttons on Them? They Actually Have A Very Useful Purpose !!!!

We all have our favorite pair of jeans, but how many of us have stopped and wondered why they have a weird trio of buttons on the pockets?

They may look like they are just there for decoration, but the bronze buttons actually serve an important purpose .
The fastenings known as rivets, and were designed to prevent jeans from wearing out and ripping at the seams.

It sort of makes sense when you think about where they are placed.

It doesn't end there though.

Answering the question one user explains how the copper rivets were patented by Levi. Young Levi Strauss himself.

The jean king came up with the idea when he heard miners complaining about how quickly their pants wore out.

Filling their pockets with gold pieces didn't exactly help the wear and tear of their favourite trousers, but Levi had the answer to all their problems.

It's all thanks to him that your worn jeans have lasted so long.

It also probably helps that we're no longer donning them to head into the mines.
